Radishes have a satisfying crunch and a spicy kick. Their bright red skin and white flesh add lovely colour and contrast to any dish they are added to.  Radishes can be sliced or chopped and added to salads, pickles, sandwiches or spreads.

Choose radishes with smooth skins and fresh green leaves. Avoid radishes with splits or discoloured patches. Store radishes wrapped in plastic in the fridge for up to one week.

Serving Suggestion: Radishes are typically eaten raw and considered a salad vegetable, but roasting them will elevate their flavour to a whole new level. The roasting process caramelises the sugars and calms the kick while creating a mild sweetness and soft flavour. To roast radishes: Wash and dry one large bunch of fresh radishes. Cut away the stems and the root ends. Toss the radishes with olive oil and thyme to coat. Roast in a shallow pan in a 200 degree oven, turning every ten minutes for thirty to thirty-five minutes or until edges turn golden.
